Vivienne westwood Punkature Collection 1983

When researching designers I discovered a collection by Vivienne Westwood called 'Puncature' which was designed in 1983 for her Spring/Summer collection. It was inspired by a film called 'Blade Runner' which is a sci-fi movie, with a lot of people dressed very punk rockish. 

I chose this image because I am inspired by the colours, the casual styling and especially the over-sized buttons.



This is an image from 'Blade Runner'.  It  reminds me of previous Vivien Westwood collections, as it looks as though it could be from the punk era.

I find the collection inspiring, especially being drawn towards the hippie punk style.  The collection appears casual and as though there hasn't been any thought to it, which obviously there has been.

I will use this collection, especially the colour combinations to help me in my designing and styling.
