London Fashion Week

Last week I went to London with a group of students from college. I had lots of fun and saw some amazing sights. We went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, where I was inspired by a number of historical garments, especially the collection by Christian Dior. The corset I have photographed I thought would link to my final design, because it would be something that a famous celebrity would wear on the catwalk, that people would be envious of.
We had the opportunity to visit some fabric shops, where we saw a vast range of fabrics, including beautiful silks and embellished fabrics. I thought some of the heavier silks would be a good choice for my final garment.
We also visited some department stores including Harrods and Liberty.
We also went to Somerset House to people-watch. We saw the models arriving in preparation for different catwalk shows, also we saw a wide range of street style, which, as a group we thought was very cool and inspiring to see.
Here are some photographs of my adventures:

I thought this girl was cool. Although the garment looks casual and randomly put together  I   thought that she had chosen her outfit very carefully.

I enjoyed London and would love to go again. I think the whole vibe was great. I loved the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Thanks for reading!
