Seven Deadly Sins

We are currently researching the Seven Deadly Sins and this is what our final garment is going to be based upon. For each sin we have to do a thread on each one saying what it means to us it has to include primary research and drawings, shape development, textile sample and annotation. The first sin I have started is Lust.
Here is what I have done so far on this sin:

Here are a couple of pages from my sketchbook. Across these pages I have tried to tell a story.  The first picture is of a man and a women lusting and desiring each other. I have attempted to show that their relationship is becoming complicated and tangled together by the use of some red machine embroidery that was manufactured by using the Washaway fabric.

The second picture it shows how their relationship is dying off and they are beginning to fall out of love. The final photograph I chose shows a skeletal image in black and white of a seed pod. I chose this image because to me it represents a relationship that has completely drained of all love.

I intend to use a section of these seed pods to form a shape that I will use for my shape development.
