At the beginning I found it totally confusing because you have to put the wool a certain way onto the needles and then you have to hold the needles and weave them in and out of the wool. I didn't know how to hold the needles properly and it was a big mess. I was also making it harder for myself by pulling the wool too tight around the needle, so the knitting was tight on the needles.
When I started to be really involved I started to enjoy it,especially when we could use any media to knit. We could choose between wool, strips of fabric, plastics, wire, twine and rope. I used fabric which I knotted together, using the ends from the knots as a feature on my sample. During the time I was knitting I was thinking how I could use this technique to reflect one of the seven deadly sins. As I had used dark colours I was wondering if this could reflect wrath.
