My Job!

About two weeks ago I was dropping CV's into local shops where I live(because i desperately need a job)I have done this probably three times now and have not heard back from any of the shops, but on Thursday, I got a phone call from a shop called M&co(It's a clothes shop) and said I had an interview on Friday at 3pm,I started to do my research on the company straight away because I really wanted this Job.
On Friday (The day of the interview)I was getting really nervous because I wanted to impress them but i was thinking to myself at least its not a big company like Waitrose,(who i previously went for an interview for and didn't get the job)and I sort of knew the manager because my friend Charlotte works there too and have seen her around,so surely there's nothing to be scared off.I went into the store and the manager(Dianna) knew who I was straight away(Because I gave my CV to her) she asked me if I could follow her to her office. She asked me a few questions like what I know about the company, why I would like to work for them and what skills I would bring to the store?then she gave me a scenario ,to pick an outfit for a women who was going to an indoor party,I picked out a dress, heels and jewellery then I had to speak about the pros and cons of my chose. After I had done that she asked me what days I could work and when I would be able to start, then it was the end of the interview(not that bad after all)About an hour later Dianna phoned and said I got the job and if it was possible if I could start the next day(Saturday)of course I said yes,but I was just so shocked that she phoned back only 1hr later and I got it.I started the following day and really enjoyed it,next week I have to dress up though for Halloween haha.
I think getting a job is important because it shows that your independent and you also earn your own money instead of getting it from your parents(which I hate doing)also by getting a job it makes you more confident Because your speaking to the public and are more out there. Also my job is in a clothes shop so I think it gives me more experience and insight into the fashion industry or retail should I say, since I am studying fashion at college. My job is only for 4 hours on a Saturday so I have still got free time available and I'm also making a bit of money,I can also still do all my college work and keep up to date with everything.
Thanks for reading!
